Synopsis

Scene 1

The Narrator introduces Solomon. He is sad because his friend, Peter, is leaving Hong Kong, and he doesn't know what to do! Suddenly, two fairies appear! They show Solomon the footprints of the people who care about him and are with him during important times in his life. Solomon notices that there is one pair of footprints that is always there, but the fairies won't tell him whose they are.

Scene 2

The fairies need to find a way to help Solomon to find out whose footprints they are. The fairies ask the Narrator for help. He suggests that they take Solomon back to his first day at primary school. Solomon sees his days in primary school. Solomon and Peter have a fight and the teacher, Miss Wong, helps them to be friends again. The fairies show the footprints of the people who were with him. Peter’s footprints are fading because he is leaving, but Solomon sees that there is still one set of footprints that is always with him. Solomon still doesn’t know whose they are. The fairies get frustrated and go to the Narrator for help again. The fairies want to tell Solomon, but the Narrator says that Solomon needs to figure it out for himself. One of the fairies has an idea.

Scene 3

The fairies take Solomon back to his home. He is trying to persuade his parents that they should geta pet. His parents aren't sure that his ready for that kind of responsibility. He manages to persuade them and we see how Solomon keeps his promise and takes good care of his cat. he cat gets ill and tells us all about how caring Solomon is. The fairies and Solomon are very upset. Solomon doesn't understand how the footprints could leave him, even though he did everything he was supposed to do. The fairies remind him that there is still one pair of footprints with him. Solomon thinks he knows whose footprints they are! It must be the fairies! The fairies gets even more frustrated and sees that it's time to use their strongest example.

Scene 4

The fairies take Solomon back to the times he spent with his family. They show him how happy he is with his grandma. The fairies think he is lucky, but Solomon remembers times when his parents are mad at him. The fairies also take him to the time his parents told him that he was going to have a sister. Solomon got upset and thought they were trying to replace him because they were mad at him. Dad tells Solomon about a time when Grandma was mad at him to show Solomon that parents get mad sometimes. They do this because they care about their children and want the best for them. Solomon feels better and is excited to meet his baby sister.

Scene 5

The fairies ask Solomon what he has learnt after seeing all of the important relationships in his life. Solomon says that he has felt a lot of love, but also seen some things that didn't do so well. The fairies and the Narrator tell him that he is forgiven and Solomon finally realises whose footprints have been with him the whole time. The foot prints of the people who love him come and go, but the love of God is always with him. Every changes except for the love of God. We love because He first loved us. This is what it means to walk With HIM.
