Objectives:

  • To cultivate students’ sense of sentiment in order to develop their talents, potential, levels of patience and confidence, aesthetic sensitivity and ability to appreciate the beauty of music
  • To develop students’ perseverance, sense of responsibility, self-discipline skills, and learn to cooperate with others through different types of music training
  • To teach students how to equip themselves when facing difficult situations, and how to handle failures and successes in music competitions
  • To enhance students’ self-confidence levels and help them face the audience when performing music

 

School-based curriculum

  1. To enrich students’ knowledge of music and expose them to various types of music through conducting different singing trainings, listening to music, teaching musical theories, and using technology to create music

 

Activities:

  1. Every student will learn to play one musical instrument:

Objectives: To enhance students’ self-confidence levels, and develop their talents and perseverance

  1. Music performance:

Objectives: To provide a platform for students to showcase their musical talents, boost their self-confidence levels, and help them face the audience when performing music

  1. Music appreciation:

Objectives: To introduce music from different periods and composers through the broadcasting channel in the school so as to broaden students’ knowledge in music and enhance their interests in learning music

  1. Trainings for school music teams:

Wind band (established in 1986)

String orchestra (established in 1983)

Percussion ensemble (established in 1992)

Orchestra (established in 1983)

Choir (established in 1991)
